J-Cup - A Winning Team
66 teams from Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, and the Netherlands, raced in the 19th edition of the J-Boats Regatta held at Cowes this year. The 2018 J-Cup incorporated the UK National championships for the J/111 Class. In a highly competitive racing, Paul van Driel & Hans Zwijnenburg's Dutch J/111 Sweeny was awarded the J-Cup, the first overseas team to win the overall prize in the history of the event. Wake up time. Snows melting and time for some sailing.
So we successfully woke her up and on Thursday afternoon. After a thorough clean and service, Snow Leopard moved on a rather interesting remote control machine, from her winter pad next to 'The Blue Cafe' into the slings at Hamble Point overnight. Adam and the team set to, painting in the patches. The rain held off and she was looking resplendent ready for a 07.45 launch. #SnowLeopard #Sailing

Double Handed Day Sail
Another lovely day of double handed sailing down the Solent to Yarmouth and back. Light winds made for some tricky sailing and lots of sail trimming. Followed by a rather well earned beer on the deck of the club before the sun set. #Social #SnowLeopard #Sailing

A Little Double Handing
So we went out for a nice easy morning sail in hardly any wind for a little double handed sailing practice. As ever the wind built and after a morning of 10knots and some great sailing the wind picked up again. So by 15.00 the reef was put in as the wind grew to 15 knots, before we were hit with 21 knots. With two on-board that makes it quiet a handful. We definitely could have done with a 3.5 jib rather than the number 2. However, a great days sailing and good practice, and

AAM Cowes Week 2016 Summary
Snow Leopard made it through her first Cowes Week with the generous support of her crew and shore support. The week was a great learning curve with objectives set each day and with the exception of one slide back on a very fluky wind day all objectives achieved. Given the new and ever changing crew with many novice sailors onboard, and our sail configuration and tuning still to be sorted, 6 finish places out of 6 was a result in the Black Group.
