New Sailors & 'Skippers' Enjoy a Fine Day Out With Snow Leopard

What a great day to go sailing. Yesterday was an almost perfect introduction to sailing for our latest budding helmsman, Rupert. Aged eight, Rupert won the speed challenge hitting 7 knots down wind helming under the A4 spinnaker, whilst his parents. His brother Will has the bit between his teeth and is looking forward to some more sailing practice soon, to follow his parents who have moved from novices to qualified "Day Skippers' in one season. Congratulations!

The day started with only a couple of knots of breeze, but following the tidal streams we moved gently down the Solent toward are Yarmouth objective. The wind played the game following the forecast and grew through the day as did the confidence of our fledgling crew.

After a fabulous lunch provided by the 'Bosworth Crew', the wind filled in as we cruised down to Yarmouth in the company of a resplendent colourful Fast 40, 'hedkandi.'

A quick team chat, and our new 'Bow' crew Mills launched the A4 perfectly for a stunning sunny run down the Solent and home.

Parked up, cleaned down and packed away introducing some of the new crew to the yacht sailing was a great and sunny success. Looking forward to more days like this before the winter comes in and Snow Leopard heads back to the mountains.
